Garrett Clancy, M.A., M.F.A., is an Independent College Counselor, and the founder of EdgeWise. He holds a Certificate in College Counseling from U.C.L.A., a graduate degree in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts, and has taught English and Film Studies at three different L.A.-area colleges and a private high school. He was most recently an Adjunct Instructor in the Graduate English Program at Southern New Hampshire University. He served as College Counselor for Harkham-GAON Academy in West L.A., and has also been Director of College Counseling at Yeshiva University of Los Angeles Boys School. He has tutored thousands of students in writing and test-prep (including SAT Essay), and worked for Educational Testing Service for a dozen years as a Scoring Leader on several standarized exams. He has written professionally for 25+ years, and is a member of NACAC (Natl. Assoc. for College Admission Counseling) and the Writers Guild of America-West. He is a U.S. Army veteran.
